In the period 2022 to 2024, Rapp Bomek will deliver specially adapted fire doors to Hammerfest Hospital. The health sector is an important focus area for Rapp Bomek including product delivery and installation services. Rapp Bomek has entered into an agreement with Consto Nord AS, the main contractor for the construction of the new hospital.
Hammerfest Hospital is a local hospital for the population of west Finnmark and offers emergency medicine, surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, gynaecology/maternity, ear-nose-throat, eye, paediatrics and paediatric rehabilitation. Investments of NOK 2.6 billion will be made over a five-year period and the hospital building will be just over 33,000 square meters. The new hospital is planned with 89 beds, 35 outpatient and specialist rooms and 7 rooms for X-rays and radiology. Rapp Bomek will deliver doors for NOK 5 million to the project and will also contribute with installation work.
The new hospital is based on a collaboration model between Helse Nord RHF, Hammerfest Kommune, Sano and UiT – The Arctic University of Norway (UiT). The collaboration model makes the new Hammerfest hospital unique in a national context.
– Our delivery to Hammerfest is a good reference showing that we have good products and services for all door needs in hospitals and care buildings. We look forward to the further collaboration with Consto on this project, says Marius Stormoen, responsible for Projects and Service at Rapp Bomek.
– A close supplier collaboration for this type of project will be very important and is an unconditional success criteria. In the initial phase at Hammerfest Hospital, we have had a good dialogue with Rapp Bomek about the product solutions, and we look forward to collaboration on deliveries and installation, says project manager Rolf Johnny Nilsen in Consto Nord AS.
Consto Nord AS is experiencing an increasing need for combination products on fire and security doors/windows for care buildings, but also for public buildings such as defence buildings, airports and other projects related to infrastructure.
